gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early and our company guide/driver will collect you
from hotel for transfer to Volcanoes National Park. The journey takes 2 hours
drive to reach Volcanoes National Park and you will head to Kingi headquarters
for briefing on the dos and don’ts of mountain gorilla trekking.
You will enter the jungle with accompany of well armed game
ranger in search of endangered mountain gorillas. Time taken on trekking
gorillas depends on how first you allocate the gorilla family and how far the
gorilla family as moved in search of food. These gorillas are so mobile, so it
needs some good time to track where they have build their new nest. The time
spend can be 1 hour to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Trekking with ranger guide is much better because they have some ideal on the
movement of the gorilla. After finding the gorilla family, you will be allowed
only one hour to interact, taking photos and learning behavior of the gorilla.
After finding the gorillas you will descend the forest and head to Kigali
