3 DAYS GORILLA HABITUATION EXPERIENCE IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Gorilla Habituation Experience is the process of training wild mountain gorillas to get used to the presence of humans. Uganda is the only country with habituate mountain gorilla and the habituation experience is meant for those individuals that are much interested in spending more time with the gorilla and those who are not able to move for long time during gorilla trekking. The 3 days gorilla habituation experience expect to spend over 4 hours with the endangered mountain gorillas in just one day and the gorilla habituation experience takes place from the southern part of Bwindi impenetrable national park [Rushaga and Nkuringo].   Find the 3 days detailed gorilla habituation experience itinerary below.

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Our tour guide will pick you from the hotel for transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park after your morning breakfast. You spend 8-9 hours on the journey to Bwindi with stopover at Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time; you will take photos and have refreshment. Continued with journey with another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch break and after lunch proceed to Bwindi impenetrable nationalpark.  On arrival to Bwindi you will check-in at the lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: GORILLA HABITUATION EXPERIENCE

After morning breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters where you will join other client and the game rangers will brief the groups on the dos and don’ts of mountain gorilla habituation experience. After briefing you will enter the jungle with company of game rangers and researchers who will guide you in the process. Expect to encounter several kinds of animals, birds and primates while in the forest. You will pass in the thick forest, with tall trees and ever green vegetation, once you find the gorilla family, you will spend four [4] hours with the endangered mountain gorillas, takings photos, interacting with the gorillas, asking question and enjoying moments with our close relative. You will have a chance to listen and observer researchers doing their work of habituating gorillas and sometimes you might be called upon to participate in collecting samples, naming of group members and many other. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: DEPARTURE TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT/HOTEL

Start a day with morning breakfast and after breakfast, pack your luggage from the lodge for departure to Kampala with stopover at Mbarara town for lunch and proceed with the journey, the driver will drop you either to the hotel or Entebbe international airport.
