The Ultimate Gorilla Tracking Experience!

Jewel Safaris offers Mountain Gorilla tracking in Rwanda all year round. As you are probably aware, sitting with the Silverbacks gorilla imageand their families and making eye contact is the world’s
most memorable wildlife encounter.  To minimize the impact that human contact has on the Mountain Gorillas and their environment, there have been a number of rules and regulations pertaining to Gorilla Tracking.   Unlike other Wildlife Safaris, Gorilla Tracking requires some preparation. The number of visitors permitted on the Tracks each day is limited, and so it is required to make a reservation to go and see them in the wild.  Once the booking dates have been confirmed, Jewel Safaris can apply on your behalf for the permits.  This process is something we take care of for our clients once they have booked a package with us. Our travel consultants will communicate with you throughout the process, and will confirm immediately as the permits are received by us..

Mountain Gorillas only exist in the 3 neighbouring countries of Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo; Jewel Safaris operates in both Rwanda and Uganda.  We do not operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo due to security concerns. Our website lists our most popular Gorilla Tracking packages many solely for Rwanda and a few for Rwanda and Uganda together.  For your information, there now exists an ‘East African Visa’ which allows an unlimited number of entries into the 3 countries of Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. This visa is available upon entry into any of the 3 countries and is valid for 3 months at a cost of $100.

Jewel Safaris offers the following Packages specifically focused on Gorilla Tracking:

5 DAYS – RWANDA & UGANDA GORILLA TRACKING

NOTE:  As these Jewel Safari itinerary includes traveling to both Rwanda and Uganda, we recommend that you apply in advance with the Rwandan government for an East African Visa.  This new visa allows you multiple entry into Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya for up to 3 months. The cost is $100 US.
